Emirates lunched its service to Vienna in 2004 and has since carried almost 3 million passengers on the Dubai-Vienna route.
“Over the years, we have gradually seen an increase in demand for our services in Austria thanks to the strong response and support from our customers. We are very pleased now, as a further step, to bring our flagship A380 to Austria, offering an unrivaled travel experience for passengers in all classes,” said Thierry Antinori, Emirates‘ Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
“Emirates‘ decision to deploy the world’s largest passenger jet for its scheduled flights to Vienna underlines the great importance of our economic region. This is a very special honour and we are now pleased to belong to the group of A380 airports,” said Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Vienna International Airport.
The A380 service to Vienna - complete with its iconic First Class Onboard Shower Spa - will commence from July 1 2016.
While in Vienna be sure to check out the Grand Hotel Wien which has a Lebanese chef who prepares Halal food for Muslim guests. The Grand Cafe also serves Arabic breakfast dishes.
