Heavy rain in the UAE forces flight delays and show closure

The week long Dubai Airshow was also postponed today because of the heavy rains.

Dubai's Global Village, an open-air fairground, earlier issued a notice saying it would remain closed due to the conditions.

Traffic conditions are dire, with many accidents reported on the roads of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

A storm warning had been circulating throughout much of the GCC for the past week, it appears as though it may have begun. There are reports of heavy rain in Kuwait and Bahrain yesterday too.
