Jumeirah, Rotana, May Expand In India

Accor currently has five hotels in India and plans to build 50 more, adding 10,400 rooms, by 2012. According to media reports, the planned hotels include a new ibis hotel in Pune later this year, seven new hotels in 2010, 18 new hotels in 2011, and 19 in 2012. Gerald Lawless, Jumeirah’s Executive Chairman, said “We see the country as an opportunity to continue growing our global brand presence out of our home base in Dubai”
