Marriott to add fourth hotel in Jordan

Marriott International is going to open its first luxury hotel, the JW Marriott in Aqaba, Jordan in 2013, making it the fourth hotel of the company. The deal was finalised under an agreement with Beaches for Hotels & Spas PSC’s Chairman, Nadim Muasher. The hotel will be situated on the Gulf of Aqaba Beach, adjacent to the Aqua Marina, thus connecting the city with the sea. It will provide access to Petra and Wadi Rum along with the reefs off the Red Sea. The Aqaba International Airport will be a mere 10 minutes away from the hotel. Highlights of the forthcoming JW Marriott include a pool bar with a covered terrace, steak outlet, restaurant connected to the Marina, sports bar, Turkish bath, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, among other amenities.
Other ventures in Jordan by Marriott International include the Amman Marriott, Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa and the Petra Marriott.
