Travel is expected to increase over the next few months. This year has experienced an improved economic condition compared to the last year, and other threats such as security in the region, natural disasters and health and disease problems that occured during are expected to slowly recover.
According to data released by the Civil Aviation Affairs Authority in Bahrain, travelers coming to the country through Bahrain International Airport was around 335 thousand passengers this January, compared with 351 thousand passengers in the same period in 2010. The number of departures is now 329 thousand passengers, compared to 349 thousand passengers in 2010.
