Oman Air named as Official Carrier of Muscat Festival 2011

Muscat, 1 February 2011. Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, has partnered with Muscat Municipality and the Oman Ministry of Tourism, to become the Official Carrier of the Muscat Festival 2011 and all associated activities. The festival, which began on 27th January and lasts until 24th February, is enjoyed not only by the people and residents of Oman, but also attracts discerning travellers…

Muscat Festival offers many different attractions, ranging from the Oman Food Festival, Tour of Oman, Extreme Sailing Series and Muscat Fashion Week, to an exciting line-up of concerts and theatrical events.
“Since its inception, Muscat Festival has become a staple in the Oman calendar of events, drawing more than two million people annually. Year after year, it presents a growing platform for a wider international audience to experience the true essence of Oman,” said Usama bin Karim Al Haremi, Head of Oman Air’s Corporate Communication and Media. “Our efforts continue to be centered on attracting more visitors from all corners of the globe to Oman, as well as promoting domestic tourism by delivering a unique and unforgettable experience that draws inspiration from the rich Omani heritage and unrivalled hospitality.”
Al Haremi added that the national carrier’s strategy stems from understanding the travel needs of Oman and providing nonstop, point-to-point air service, luxury and comfort in all classes. Oman Air continues to work hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Tourism along with various local and international organisations that share a mutual vision of positioning the Sultanate as a land of bountiful culture, heritage and nature.
