Saudi Arabia continues to be a priority market for the Rezidor Hotel Group in the Middle East. The country’s strong economy, natural resources and domestic markets substantiate an aggressive market strategy. “We are glad to further strengthen our presence in Saudi Arabia. This is already the second hotel we have signed in the Kingdom this year”, said Kurt Ritter, President and CEO of Rezidor.
Speaking on behalf of Mafaz International Development Company, the owner and developer of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Ring Road, the General Manager of Mafaz, Emad Al Hubayyeb, commented, “We at Mafaz International Development Company are glad to announce our hotel project in north Riyadh and to embark on a new partnership with the renowned Rezidor Hotel Group and Radisson Blu brand”.
“The Riyadh hotel market is very promising, considering the continued growth and demand on the hotel industry in the KSA. Our hotel project is placed in an excellent location and we are excited to serve the business sector and community of Riyadh with the state of the art facilities. The hotel will be part of a mixed-used property, which will have in addition to the hotel first-class office complex, an internationally-branded ladies spa, as well as high end retail space”, he continued.
The North Ring project is a mixed-used property owned and developed by Mafaz International Development Company with the association of Apex Investment Co as co-developer and Technical Manager of the projects.
Riyadh is the capital and the largest city in Saudi Arabia and GCC. The new Radisson Blu will feature 252 rooms including 18 suites and will benefit from an excellent location on the Riyadh North Ring Road. It will have two restaurants and a lounge, 1,600sqm of meeting space (including a 1,200sqm ballroom), a business centre and a fitness centre with outdoor swimming pool and juice bar. In addition the hotel will also offer a 1,500sqm state-of-the-art female-only spa.
Situated in Riyadh’s new expansion zone in the north, the hotel will provide easy access to the King Abdullah Financial District, the city’s commercial and shopping areas, as well as Riyadh’s King Khaled International Airport (15-20 minutes’ drive away).The location is cross section all the major high-way.
Riyadh has a population of over 5.5 million and is considered to be the Kingdom’s main business and commercial gateway.
