Rights of workers of Kuwaiti Airways Corporation will be safeguarded

March 19- The government will safeguard the rights of the workers of Kuwaiti Airways Corporation (KAC) after its privatisation, said a Kuwaiti official. Also, legislators and executives discussed irregularities in the airline along with evaluation of its assets. Maintenance of the KAC fleet is "of the highest grade," and a third of its budget is allotted for maintenance, conducted in the manufacturing companies of the aircraft operated by the national aviation company, Al-Busairi assured parliamentarians. In response to this, many parliamentarians said the corporation should be referred to the Public Investment Authority (PIA) for three years to prepare it for the privatisation, stressing that the government should not stand in the way of this process.
