The Ritz-Carlton group will open its first Tunisian hotel in Sidi Bou Saïd (outskirts of Tunis) in 2014. With direct access to the ocean, the new hotel will be located near the famous ruins of Carthage and the presidential palace.

Tunis has a rich history evident in its many historical sites including the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, comprising of ancient Islamic architecture including over 700 monuments.

The Ritz-Carlton Tunis, Carthage is owned by CompanieTunisienne de Development Touristique (CTDT), a subsidiary of the Driss-Jenayah Group, and a pioneer group in hospitality. The Group owns a portfolio of hotels with more than 6000 rooms.
