Rotana’s chief executive said the global slowdown has affected the UAE, and the slowing demand and increased supply will continue to affect rates this summer. Mr. el Zyr said the UAE is better positioned for recovery because the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, TDIC, and Dubai Tourism Board are doing a lot to promote the country, and operators benefit.
