Touch-screen technology at Saudi airports soon

March 30- All Saudi airports, seaports and entertainment and tourist sites will have touch-screen technology to guide tourists visiting the kingdom, it was learnt on Monday by developers Zaki Mohammed Ali Farsi of Farsi Geotech Group. The touch screens will actually be three-dimensional maps that comprise catalogues containing information that can be of use to tourists, said Al-Nabulsi. "The new technology will allow us to provide government institutions with the most recent geographical database in the Kingdom, and help companies use these maps for developing their projects and implementing their plans," he said.
SCTA hopes to have a geographical database linked via satellite. Another kind of electronic catalogue for mobiles and laptops is also to be made available shortly.
