Originally built as the private residence of the illustrious Marden shipping family, Pulau Joyo is comprised of eight exclusive beachfront villas, each carefully designed to blend in with the island’s natural surroundings. Villas are set amongst the lush, tropical vegetation, affording guests complete privacy within the comfort of their residence. Homes have been decorated with exquisite furniture pieces and art objects which owners Antonyand Elaine Marden have lovingly collected from their world travels and rare auctions.
Easily accessible from Singaporeand Bintan, Joyo island is famous for its magnificent sunsets and tranquil location. The island is an ideal vantage point from which to explore Indonesia’s pristine beaches and reefs. Guests can take advantage of the residence’s 140-foot charter yacht The Hang Tuah for a leisurely afternoon of swimming, snorkeling or picnicking at the gorgeous sandbanks nearby. The tastefully decorated Hang Tuah has three double cabins, five permanent staff, is fully air-conditioned and comes with all modern amenities. Besides day tours, the yacht can also be chartered for longer trips.
