If you are not part of the millennial generation (born between 1981-2000) you probably listened to the BBC World Service on a radio and you heard the chimes of Big Ben before the hourly news. If you are a young adult you may have watched BBC TV or visited their website. But whatever your age, you have probably heard of the British Broadcasting Corporation which continues to be a symbol of the UK. A visit to the BBC’s headquarters and a tour of their new state of the art studios, located in the heart of London, is, therefore, something most visitors will enjoy.
What to see
On the tour you can experience what goes on behind the scene in one of the world’s most watched television and radio news studios. You will also learn about the rich history of the building and the BBC. The tour even includes letting you have a go at reading the news and weather on the BBC’s interactive news set. You will also get a chance to check out BBC Radio Drama studios and make your own radio play complete with music and sound effects.
