Portobello Road is home to what is perhaps one of the most well known street market in Europe – the Portobello Market. Known primarily as being the perfect place to shop for antique furniture, the market however, sells a delightful assortment of goods. There are various sections of the market, namely; the Antiques Section, Fruit and Vegetable Section, New Goods Section, Fashion Market and the Second Hand Goods Market.
What you will find
It is located in the trendy Notting Hill area which was made famous by the hugely popular Hugh Grant movie – Notting Hill. Several shops in the area were featured in the film and have become tourist attractions in themselves. However, the actual travel books store where Hugh Grant worked (in the movie) closed in 2011.
