Why visit
Despite the name, the Islamic Center of Boston sits in suburban Wayland, about 30-40 minutes west by car - one of Greater Boston's long-established congregations, known for interfaith engagement and a stable community of professionals and families. For city-based tourists it is rarely the daily choice, but it earns its listing for two cases: travelers renting cars for Lexington-Concord battlefield day trips (Wayland lies conveniently beyond Concord), and families visiting relatives in the western suburbs who want Jumu'ah without driving back into Boston. Daily prayers and Friday services are held; check the center's website for times and any visitor guidance.
