Why go
The Prudential is Boston's weather insurance: a full indoor mall at the base of the tower, connected by skybridge to Copley Place and by corridors to hotels, with mainstream anchors, a large Eataly food hall, and everyday brands that dress a family without ceremony. In winter it becomes the retail spine's warm core - visitors can walk from the Sheraton to Saks without a coat. The View Boston observatory crowns the same tower, letting one elevator serve shopping and skyline in a single stop. Food-court and Eataly options require the usual menu diligence (seafood and vegetarian paths are easy); halal delivery reaches the adjacent hotels readily. Weekday daytimes are calm; December weekends are not. Practical, central, and the guide's default rainy-day answer.
