Karachi is one of the great Muslim food cities: biryani, nihari, BBQ, haleem, bun kabab, karahi, fish, rabri, chai, bakery snacks and late-night family dining. In a Muslim-majority city, mainstream Pakistani restaurants are generally halal, but Irhal should still avoid blanket guarantees for every dish or imported ingredient. Where needed, advise visitors to ask the restaurant about halal status, alcohol service, meat sourcing and prayer space.
