Why visit
The Arc de Triomphe (قوس النصر) stands monumentally at the center of Place Charles de Gaulle, commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to celebrate French military victories. The spectacular rooftop observation platform, reached after a climb of 284 steps, offers the absolute best panoramic sunset views of the 12 radiating avenues, including the Champs-Élysées. At the base of the arch lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, marked by an eternal flame.
