Taxi and ride-hailing

Licensed taxis and app-based services are useful when luggage, weather, late-night travel, or a suburban day trip makes the T less convenient. At Logan, follow the official pickup instructions; in the city, use a marked taxi stand or request the ride inside the app. Confirm the vehicle and driver details before entering and keep the destination address visible.

Traffic can be slow around the Seaport, Fenway, university move-in days, snow, and major events. A taxi is not automatically faster than the subway, so compare the route and build a buffer around airport check-in, prayer windows, and timed tickets.
