Yolk

Yolk is the place to go in Chicago for breakfast. It serves traditional American diner food -- bacon and eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, etc. -- and does it better than most. The atmosphere and decor is trendy, but laid back. Be aware that the portions are huge. A great value.

You're going to need a reservation to get in, as this is a popular restaurant. It can get pretty packed during peak hours, almost too much so. The tables are very close together. Don't let that turn you off, though, as this is definitely one of Chicago's best restaurants.
