The Adler Company was formed in 1880 and specialized in high tech machines. Over the years the site was used to build fighter jets and was constructed and reconstructed to suit modern times. This museum is an extensive display of the Goethe Age and is in commemoration of the greatest German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. It shows pictures and paintings from German artists belonging to various time periods, which depict changing traditions and cultures. It also has an extensive library of literature and historical texts. Adjacent to the museum is the Goethehaus, which was the home of the famous writer.
