To celebrate the arrival of the New Year, Frankfurt’s Alte Oper plays its sensational traditional music to entertain the thousands of people who come to celebrate New Years with friends and family. A wide variety of seasonal tunes are also played by the “Junge Deutsche Philharmonie”.

An arduous 26.2 mile distance is covered by the almost 10,000 runners that take part in this marathon every October.
