Overview
There are a number of ferry services by licensed operators connecting Kowloon, Hong Kong Island, Outlying Islands, Mainland China and Macau. The famous 'Star Ferry Service' is the oldest and operates four lines between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. The view of the stunning skyline and harbor is breathtaking by day and even more so at night.
The others provide service to the outlying islands including Discovery Bay, from Central Ferry station. One can choose between standard and fast ferries which are more expensive.

Besides these there are fast ferries to Macau and Mainland China. The Hong Kong Macau Ferry terminal is at Sheung Wan and Chin Ferry terminal is at Tsim Sha Tsui.
