Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is outside central Jakarta, and the transfer can feel longer than the map suggests. Railink's airport-train information is useful for travelers whose hotel is near a suitable city station and who can manage luggage; a hotel transfer or reputable taxi is often easier for families, late arrivals, or several suitcases.

MRT Jakarta is most useful along the current south–central corridor, including Bundaran HI, Dukuh Atas, Senayan, Blok M, and the southern stations. The operator publishes operating information and passenger rules; check the current timetable and station access before a time-sensitive connection. TransJakarta's official route map covers a much wider bus network and is useful when the destination sits on a direct corridor.

Taxis and ride-hailing are often the most practical way to connect hotel districts, malls, mosques, museums, and family attractions that do not share one rail corridor. Use a licensed operator or a verified app, confirm the fare method and pickup point, and keep the destination in both English and Indonesian when possible.
