Overview & visitor information

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum is a vibrant cultural monument in the heart of Chinatown. It contains what Buddhist leaders regard as Buddha’s sacred remains, which they say are inside the temple, placed in an imposing Buddhist stupa made from 420 kg of gold donated by followers of Buddhism. Each day, the inner chamber is unveiled at specified times during rituals led by the resident monks, which visitors may watch if they wish.
