Proving that Dubai remains on-trend in the world of luxury travel, and a firm favourite among celebrities seeking respite from the freezing temperatures of Europe, famous faces including Rita Ora, Denise van Outen and Nell McAndrew were recently spotted around town basking in the glow of Dubai’s warming rays.
Paolo de Renzis, Area Commercial Manager, Middle East and Central Asia said: “With temperatures in Europe near freezing, it’s no surprise that we’ve seen a rise in bookings for warmer destinations. With British Airways’ January sale in full swing, and celebrities posting enticing pictures on holiday in the warmer climes of Dubai, it seems this is all the incentive needed for people to book themselves a warm getaway.”
Other destinations benefiting from the ‘celeb-tweet’ effect include the Caribbean and Barbados. Simon Cowell, Coleen Rooney, OllyMurs and Rihanna all enjoyed the crystal-clear waters of Barbados, while St Lucia was the choice destination for Gwyneth Paltrow who posted pictures of her family enjoying a blissful beach break.
The ‘Spanish Caribbean’ attracted Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Nick Grimshaw, who partied in Puerto Rico together, while couples Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, and Jessica Alba and Cash Warren enjoyed romantic breaks to Mexico.
A full timetable of British Airways' flights to London and beyond is available online at ba.com, where customers can find the lowest fares and book, pay and check-in online for their flights.
