First Women-Only Spa Set To Open In Saudi Arabia

Regulatory authorities have given the local five star Al-Faisaliah Hotel preliminary approval to open its new “Sense Spa”, which will be the first women-only spa in Saudi Arabia. The hotel plans to open the spa on its tenth anniversary in May, when it will unveil a new wing of 106 rooms. Mr. Finamore said the new spa will also have a hamman (steam bath), thermo treatment, hair salon, skincare, manicure and pedicure services, tennis court, fitness center facilities, and an indoor swimming. Mr. Finamore said there are other smaller spas operating, but very few, and sometimes illegally and in unhygienic conditions. Al-Faisaliah was recently awarded the "Cristal Certificate of Achievement” by independent hotel auditors for good hygienic standards.
