The resort has taken up and implemented 'green hotel initiatives' that aim at minimising the impact of its operations on the local environment since its opening in February 2006.

Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager, Arbind K. Shrestha said: "It is a great accolade for us to achieve this important award and we are delighted to be the first hotel in Oman to reach this certification. It reinforces our ongoing commitment to environmental management, as we all strive to contribute to the conservation of the environment in the community where we conduct our business."
