Those of us who have lived in Dubai for many years or have grown up here know very little about traditional Emirati food - kebabs or hummus are not all that there is to Emarati cooking.
Emirati food is a combination of different cultures and cuisines. Guests now have the opportunity to experience Dubai's real taste, and no one can do it better than "authentic" chefs who spend countless hours with Emirati families and cook with locals in the UAE. They really know the difference between the original and the fake saffron, and they can teach you how to differentiate between the original local spices and the millions of other spices available in the market.
Guests are invited to spend a morning and experience live cooking with Chef Rabeh, chef of the Aseelah Restaurant at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Deira Dubai. This is a hotel which offers traditional Emirati cuisine highlighting the true culture, history and heritage of Dubai. And now guests can master the art of making Emirati cuisine themselves.
Cooking classes cost AED 170 per person, with a minimum of 10 people per show. You can even taste some of the delicacies cooked by Chef Rabeh for lunch.
