Michelle Obama voted most desirable travel partner

With 18 percent of the overall votes, Michelle Obama made first place among the celebrities, historical, fictional and political figures Americans would most want as roommates on their next vacation.

However, the first lady only came in third in the 18-29 age group, who would prefer to share a room with comedian Will Ferrell, followed by Beyoncé.

The most popular woman among the men polled was Natalie Portman (getting 19 percent of votes), followed by Marilyn Monroe with 18.7 percent.

Lady Gaga was voted an undesirable travel partner by all age groups, while Ryan Seacrest and Spider-man also were in this group.

According to the survey, Americans have a preference for sharing their holiday accommodation with smart, funny people with an outlook similar to their own.
