Saudi Tourism Body Will Open Makkah Branch

Prince Sultan bin Salman announced the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) will open a branch office in the holy city of Makkah. A chamber spokesman said the Prince requested cooperation from all in setting up a committee to endorse accommodation contracts for pilgrims this year. The Prince said the procedures used this year should be the same as last year, including registration renewal of tourist companies at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He will ask the municipality to use the unified accommodation specifications approved by the SCTA, Ministry of Rural and Municipal Affairs, and the Civil Defense.
