Tourism revenues in Jordan up by 35 percent

Meanwhile, the number of visitors to Jordan rose by 20.4 per cent to 946,147 in the first two months of 2010, compared to 785,751 in the same period last year. The number of overnight tourists in the first two months of this year increased by 30 per cent (551,924), as compared to 424,500 in the same period of last year, as per the Ministry of Tourism. The number of same-day tourists rose by nine per cent in January-February to 394,223, compared to 361,251 in the same period in 2009.
