With the political crisis simmering in Egypt and bomb blasts in Lebanon, several Middle East countries have issued travel alerts advising their nationals not to travel to Egypt or Lebanon. Travel alerts for Egypt and Lebanon

The Egyptian economy is heavily dependent on tourism. Millions of jobs are directly or indirectly affected by tourists who come to see the pyramids or wish to sail down the Nile or enjoy the Red Sea resorts of Sharm al Sheikh and Hurghada. While the Red Sea resorts are not affected by the violence, many European tour operators have canceled tours and are advising tourists to avoid the country.

Proceeed with caution but if you are planning to visit Sharm al Sheikh or Hurghada we would suggest that you go ahead as the tourism industry needs to be supported - it helps feed people.
