Thirty two year old David ‘The Bullet’ Smith Jr., the world’s highest performing human cannonball, is performing again today at Dubai’s Global Village. David’s father before him used to do the cannonball performances, and David began performing at age 19. He said “I never dreamed of taking up ‘human cannonball’ as a profession. But, at 19, my father’s back got hurt. He asked me if I would work a shift for him in the family business.” Six of David’s eight siblings have also been trained in the profession and are his close competitors, although he has bested them all by claiming the world record in Guinness in his third year of performing.
