Dubai Metro System Will Draw Tourists

Dubai’s Deputy Ruler, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said he is satisfied with progress on the new $4.2 billion metro system. Chairman and executive director of the Roads and Transport Authority updated Sheikh Maktoum and took him on a tour through a number of stations. Sheikh Maktoum said the new system will be “one of the major flagship civilizational and tourist landmarks in the country.” Transport chiefs announced it will launch in September and prices will range between AED1.80 and AED6.50.
