Low cost carrier flydubai received its sixth aircraft in just over six months, a Boeing 737-800NG, which will begin service with its inaugural flight to Bahrain on Sunday, December 13th. Last year flydubai placed a historic US$ 4 billion order for 50 aircraft with Boeing at the Farmborough Airshow in Dubai The 737-800NG is a member of Boeing’s most commercially successful aircraft ever designed. At any given moment there are 1,250 Boeing 737’s in the air, and one takes off every 4.6 seconds. The new flydubai Boeing 737 aircraft can seat 189 economy passengers and cruise at an altitude of between 35,000 and 41,000 feet.
