Seychelles Tourism CEO meets with President Zuma

Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board returned to Seychelles on Monday from a working visit to South Africa where he had the opportunity of meeting the South African President, Mr. Jacob Zuma, to discuss cooperation between Seychelles and South Africa and to table the 2011 Seychelles’ “Carnaval International de Victoria." Mr. St.Ange, accompanied by Ms. Masechaba Lekalake, the anchor personality of TV eNews Africa, were received at State House in Pretoria by President Zuma following a SATSA Annual Conference in Durban. Discussions with President Zuma was to explore ways of consolidating relations between our two countries and to explore ways of working together.
“The South African President made time to meet us at his Pretoria Residence, and together we explored ways and means of developing tourism as an industry for Africa by Africa. We also spent time looking at the 2011 Seychelles’ ‘Carnaval International de Victoria’ and for South Africa to be a participant," St.Ange said.
During the meeting, President Zuma of South Africa was presented with documentation on the Seychelles Carnival, the Tourism Board’s promotional brochures, and a collection of books about the Seychelles Islands.
