Why dine here
Hakkasan Abu Dhabi is a glamorous Cantonese restaurant inside Emirates Palace, and its appeal is very different from the city's Emirati heritage restaurants. You come here for design, terrace atmosphere, high-end service and a recognisable global fine-dining brand rather than a purely local meal.
What to expect
The Muslim-friendly caveat is important. Hakkasan's official pages list cocktails, wine menu and a Lost in Shanghai offer with cocktails, sparkling, wine, beer and house spirits. That verifies alcohol service. The official Abu Dhabi page highlights dishes such as Peking duck and crispy duck salad, but this pass did not safely verify pork status from the Abu Dhabi official menu. Guests avoiding pork should ask directly about menu ingredients and kitchen handling.
Before you go
It earns a place in the guide because many travelers staying near the Corniche or Emirates Palace will consider it for a special dinner. It works best after Qasr Al Watan, an Emirates Palace visit or a western-Corniche evening. If your group wants an alcohol-free environment or a simpler halal certainty, choose an Emirati or mall-based restaurant instead.
Good to know
For planning, use the official Hakkasan page. It lists Sunday to Friday from 6pm to 12:30am, and Saturday from 12pm to 3:30pm and 6pm to 12:30am. Reserve ahead, ask about Muslim-friendly handling if needed, and do not assume the venue is appropriate for every family simply because it is in Abu Dhabi. In the guide, its value is as a clearly labelled luxury option with caveats, not as a default halal recommendation, so the page should help users decide before they book rather than surprise them at the table.
