Khorshid Restaurant: On the hotel's second floor, this restaurant serves delicious local dishes, a variety of seafood and a diverse international menu. Breakfast is served from 6.30–9.30 am. Relax here and indulge yourself in the royal atmosphere of the service! 2. Moon Coffee Shop: Here you can enjoy a light meal, soft drinks or a cup of coffee. Trying a local dessert is recommended, with various ice creams and cakes available. 3. Setareh Restaurant: This revolving restaurant on the top floor offers wonderful panoramic views of the bridges across the Zayandeh River and the surrounding royal complexes. Meals are served from 1.00–3.00 pm and 8–10.30 pm. Health facilities: Aseman Hotel offers a complete rejuvenating experience for the body. With its heated swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, you can refresh yourself after a long, tiring day of sightseeing. Women may use the health centre on Saturdays from 2.30–9.00 pm and Fridays from 9.00 am–2.00 pm. Suitable times for men are Sundays and Fridays from 3.30–10.30 pm. The hotel also has an indoor sports and games complex. Meetings and events: The hotel offers excellent services for hosting business activities. It has halls of different sizes accommodating 50 to 300 people, available for receptions, banquets, exhibitions and board meetings. The main conference hall has excellent lighting and modern audiovisual and multimedia facilities, including compact discs, a large screen, loudspeakers and DVD players. Originally a 300 years old mehmansarai (guesthouse for travelers) built by the Safavid ruler Shah Hussein as a tribute to his mother, the building of this hotel has been magnificently restored. It has been transformed into a splendidly nostalgic hotel that echoes with legacies of palatial life that are sinking into oblivion in today’s modern, fast-paced world. The hotel is built around a courtyard plan, a typical feature of public building planning by the Safavids. It contains four arcades that surround the central courtyard (a Chahar Bagh arrangement). The garden itself blossoms with colorful varieties of local flora, and contains fountains and stone sculptures that add to an almost magical, fairytale like setting. The very delicate detailing of this courtyard space can be used to compare it to the much larger, much grander Naqsh e Jahan Square in the city center.

Activity

Isfahan is not a city geared specifically towards children. The air around the city is formal, sober, and one of intellect and reverence rather than frolic and merrymaking. The lack of amusement opportunities within the city is somewhat of a downside when you are bringing along a family with toddlers.
