Hafilat cards and official route information are the practical starting points; some attractions and islands also provide shuttle or visitor transport. Check the live route, service hours and stop location before setting out because Abu Dhabi is spread across bridges and long arterial roads.
Public transport is most useful when the itinerary is grouped by corridor. Allow time for heat between stops, prayer breaks and the walk from a stop to a venue, and use a taxi for late-night returns, heavy luggage or remote desert and Al Ain routes.
