Why visit
Masjidus Sabur began in 1995 as a martial-science and Islamic-studies association formed by brothers and sisters serving Harlem. Incorporated as a New York nonprofit in 1996, the congregation now identifies its mosque at 2975 Bainbridge Avenue in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx.
What to expect
The centre’s purpose combines congregational worship with spiritual education, guidance and community-awareness programmes. Its official description emphasizes a safe place to gather and learn, with services open beyond one race, creed or political affiliation and rooted in the universal teaching of Islam.
Visitor guidance
The current Bainbridge Avenue location corrects the imported summary’s outdated identification of the mosque as a Harlem prayer room. The official site provides the active address and telephone number, but only posts general office hours; prayer and event times therefore come from the mosque’s own announcements.
