Why visit
Masjid Manhattan is located at 30 Cliff Street between Fulton and John streets, a few blocks from Wall Street and the World Trade Center. Established in 1970, the nonprofit congregation serves workers, residents and visitors in a part of Lower Manhattan where dedicated prayer space is limited.
What to expect
The mosque holds the five daily congregational prayers and Friday prayer in a functional urban interior. Its location within the dense Financial District is more important to its character than a monumental exterior; the entrance on Cliff Street leads directly into an active worship and teaching institution.
Visitor guidance
Qur’an instruction, recorded lectures, religious questions, zakat and sadaqah funds, outreach and community support accompany the prayer schedule. The official site gives the current address, telephone numbers, live prayer-time module and direct imam contact, replacing older descriptions of a basement location elsewhere.
