Why take this tour
Circle Line's Landmarks Cruise departs from Pier 83 on Manhattan's West Side for a narrated circuit through the harbor and lower East River. The route concentrates the city's most recognizable waterfront forms into a shorter voyage than the operator's full-island cruise, without attempting to circumnavigate Manhattan.
The experience
From the Hudson, the boat passes the West Side skyline and Lower Manhattan before approaching Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. It then turns through the harbor toward the Brooklyn waterfront and the East River, where the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges frame very different generations of engineering.
Before you book
Climate-controlled indoor seating and open decks expose the same route at different distances from the weather, and live narration connects the visible architecture to its history. The cruise is defined by the shift from Midtown towers to the open harbor and dense bridge crossings, making the waterfront itself the organizing subject.
