Why take this tour
Circle Line's Best of NYC Cruise is the operator's full-island sightseeing route, departing from Pier 83 on the Hudson River. The boat travels south toward New York Harbor, then continues around Manhattan through the East and Harlem Rivers before returning along the Hudson when navigation conditions permit the complete circuit.
The experience
The changing waterfront connects familiar landmarks with less visible parts of the island's geography. The route passes the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn waterfront, Roosevelt Island and numerous bridges, including low Harlem River crossings that reveal how rail, road and water infrastructure bind the boroughs together.
Before you book
Indoor seating and open exterior decks create different ways to read the same panorama, while live narration supplies historical and architectural context. The cruise's value lies not in one close-up landmark but in seeing Manhattan as an island, with its neighborhoods and skyline unfolding continuously along three connected rivers.
