Rocket Park is the outdoor space landmark of the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park. Two large rockets, an Atlas and a Titan II, rise above the site as surviving artifacts of the 1964–1965 New York World's Fair and the era's public fascination with space exploration.
What to expect
The rockets were displayed when the Hall of Science first opened as a World's Fair pavilion. Their scale gives children an immediate sense of the engineering required to move beyond Earth's atmosphere, while museum interpretation places them within the history of launch vehicles, satellites and the American space program.

Rocket Park forms one part of a wider interactive science center whose galleries cover physics, design, mathematics, biology and technology. The nearby Science Playground and hands-on indoor exhibits extend the visit beyond spaceflight, preserving the World's Fair mission of presenting scientific ideas through large objects, experiments and direct participation.
