RiseNY Flying Theater

RiseNY combines galleries about New York popular culture with a motion-based flying theater that travels across a cinematic city landscape.

City guide

Overview & visitor information

RiseNY is an indoor Times Square attraction built around New York's cultural influence and a final flying-theater ride. The experience begins with a short film and a sequence of museum-style galleries covering subjects such as finance, television, fashion, music, Broadway and the city's role in popular culture.

The concluding ride suspends seated guests in front of a large projection dome while motion, wind, mist and scent effects accompany aerial footage. The route moves above familiar city landscapes and seasonal scenes, using the mechanics of a flight simulator to turn skyline imagery into a collective theater experience.

The galleries give the ride a narrative frame: objects and media establish how New York industries shaped entertainment before the final sequence presents the city itself as spectacle. RiseNY is therefore more than a simulated helicopter trip, and the corrected title reflects the operator's description of a soaring, motion-based attraction.
