Why stay here
Sohotel occupies 341 Broome Street at the Bowery in a building dating to 1805. Its location sits where Nolita, Chinatown and the Lower East Side meet, with the Bowery and Grand Street subway stations and a dense independent restaurant district nearby.
The experience
Rooms combine exposed brick, wood floors and colourful contemporary furniture. Queen, king and multi-bed categories include layouts sleeping larger groups, but the historic structure also means room dimensions and configurations vary more than in a purpose-built chain hotel.
Before you book
A 24-hour front desk, lobby seating, Wi-Fi and neighbourhood guidance form the main service package; dining is primarily outside the hotel. The imported claim of excellent family rooms has been made concrete through actual published bed configurations, while the old-building context explains the property’s distinctive character, stair access and physical variation.
