Why dine here
Omar’s Bryant Park location extends the Manhattan Mediterranean group into the dense office and visitor district around the New York Public Library. The restaurant sits two blocks from Bryant Park and is arranged to absorb the lunch rush while retaining seating for a meal built from the grill and mezze counter.
What to expect
Chicken shawarma can be wrapped in fresh pita with salad and sauce or plated with rice, while lamb and chicken kebabs preserve the firmer char of skewered meat. Falafel supplies a crisp vegetarian center, and hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh and chopped salads add contrasting textures.
Before you go
Although the menu is shared with Omar’s other locations, the Bryant Park branch has a distinct role as a fast sit-down dining room near major Midtown landmarks. Its combination of bread, grilled meat and vegetable-led sides makes a fuller meal than the area’s more compressed cart and deli formats.
