Westfield World Trade Center occupies retail levels within Santiago Calatrava’s ribbed Oculus and the passages connecting it to surrounding towers. The white central hall is both a shopping space and the principal room of the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, so commuters and visitors continually cross the same floor.
Stores extend beyond the central nave into several linked concourses, covering fashion, beauty, watches, technology, gifts and food. Digital wayfinding screens help locate businesses across the multi-level plan, and the live official directory matters because openings, relocations and operating hours change within the active transit complex.
Underground connections reach PATH trains, multiple subway stations, Brookfield Place and nearby office buildings without returning to street level. The Oculus structure remains the defining experience: daylight enters between its repeated steel ribs, turning an otherwise functional retail interchange into a distinctive civic interior.
