The experience
Crossing into Little Italy compresses a once-larger Italian immigrant district into the streets around Mulberry Street, where restaurants and religious festivals keep a visible public identity. Before you book
The tour ends near Columbus Park after roughly two to three miles of walking. Its strength is spatial: no vehicle separates the neighborhoods, so shifts in architecture, foodways and community institutions appear block by block, revealing both distinct cultures and the pressure created by changing boundaries in Lower Manhattan.
